“He that observeth the wind shall not sow;…” — Ecclesiastes (Hebrew Bible)

Religious and spiritual

He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

— Ecclesiastes (Hebrew Bible)Bible, King James Version: Ecclesiastes · Ecclesiastes 11:4

Perspective

Watching conditions can become a way of remaining outside the work. The verse suggests that uncertainty is part of the field in which action happens, rather than a signal that the field is closed.
